Ministry Outreach

New York Inauguration:

On July 29, 2000, Ada Torres, Iris Aviles and Sonia Rodriguez introduced God's CLIP to a small group of women in Staten Island, New York.

For approximately four hours, fifteen women experienced the joy, grace and love of the Lord.  After a glorious time of praise and worship directed by Sonia, Ada introduced God's CLIP to the women present, who were extremely supportive of this new ministry.  We learned about God's temple, ate delicious and healthy food, prayed, and spent a great time together.

Iris presented a powerfully anointed healing dance before she directed a special focussed prayer binding the spirit of breast cancer and loosening God's healing power, grace, mercy and love.

Completely to our surprise, one of the sister's collected our very first love offering.  We were all overcome by God's grace.

We regretted that we could not spend more time together!  The anointing of God was so powerful.

We woud like to thank those women who so generously gave of their time, financial support, and prayers.

We have pledged to provide women with prayer support, as well as information to help them overcome this insidious disease.

INVITE US:  If you would like to introduce this ministry to your church or group of friends, please email or write us and we will do what we can to accommodate you.  Currently, we can only visit churches in the states of Colorado and New York, but we hope to be able to minister to women throughout the country.  Wisdom dictates that we coordinate home visits with your local church.  If you would like us to address your group, but it is not affiliated with a church, please let us know the details and we will pray about what we can do.  We are VERY approachable, and ask that you

Puerto Rico Trip
March 2001

We had the privilege of ministering to our Pentecostal sisters in Puerto Rico in late March.  While we had some reservations about introducing our ministry there, the Lord truly moved and we were blessed.

We would like to thank the pastors of Mision Cristiana Rehovoth, Inc. from Barrio Polo Norte in Ceiba, Puerto Rico.  We take it for granted here that we can meet as Christian sisters anywhere; however, because of very strict religious doctrine, we were not allowed to minister in some churches.  That is why the fact that there are Pentecostal Pastors who recognize that we are ONE IN CHRIST was a true blessing to us.  I think that we truly surprised them!

Five different Pentecostal churches were represented at this late afternoon, early evening meeting, with more than 50 women present.  We know this was God because there was very little time to prepare for this event.  For organizing this entire event, we must thank our mother, Ada Vazquez.  She did a tremendous job inviting women from different churches, talking to pastors and finding a place to hold the conference, and also planning a meal for the women.  Only God can repay her hard work and her generosity.  Gracias, Mami!

We would also like to thank all of the people who covered us with prayer:
*  the 50+ women in my E-Loop Email group of Christian Women teachers,
pastors, prophets, and evangelists;
*  the women in New York who support God's CLIP;
*  the intercessors from the churches we all represent.

We KNEW that we were covered with prayer!  Praise God!

The "church" and the weather
Well, God sure does have a sense of humor!  You see, I don't like being outside--not even for a picnic.  I mean, I will tolerate it, but it is not my favorite thing!  The church "building" where we held the conference was a tent!  No sides--only a covering!  It was amazingly beautiful!  For many days it had rained; it rained the day before.  But Saturday was dry, shiny and, surprisingly, it was NOT hot!  There was a gentle breeze that acted like our natural air conditioner!  BUGS?  I noticed one at the end--when we were ministering to the women!  Can you believe it!?  Hallelujah!

Praise and Worship
This was quite an experience!  My sister Iris was led by the Spirit to use flags!  Oh, my!  The women did not know what she was doing!  We read scripture and explained that the use of flags in worshipping God is indeed scriptural.  Iris moved around the sanctuary waving those flags, with the Spirit of God clearly moving around--it was beautiful!

Sonia did a great job directing the praise and worship--and this was not easy!  We had Spanish songs, but the women were not familiar with them, but they still participated.  Thank God that some were bilingual and were able to sing the English songs as well.

My cousin, Pastor Margarita Feliciano blessed us with a song and directed the women in a few songs (corritos).

Overall, we welcomed the Spirit of God in a glorious way!

Topic:  God's Most Holy Temple
While it was extremely difficult to talk about this topic, we know that many women were touched by God's message.  In a society that enjoys fried foods, starches, and sweets, it is not an easy task to say, "As God's temple, you must watch what you eat!"  Yes!  It is difficult for ME to even have to say it--since I also like these foods!  But I tried to stress a balance.

But the most difficult part was a more spiritual message:

As God's most precious temple, we must forgive in order to commune with God!  PHEW!  To say that this was a tough one would be an understatement!  There was a lot of spiritual resistance and at times I thought I was trudging through quicksand!  But, PRAISE GOD, we managed to safely wade through!

Something NEW!
The Lord has blessed my sister Iris with dance.  Some of us take this for granted, but not one single woman there had ever seen someone dance unto the Lord.  Iris said that some refused to open their eyes and look at her, but most were blessed!  Several young girls came up to her afterwards and said they never realized that God could minister in such a way.  It was a blessing that words can not describe!

Prayer
We ended the service with prayer for almost every single woman there.  We thank God for this opportunity. We were especially moved that the first person to come up for prayer was our aunt Margot Feliciano.
God is Good!

Love Offering
We were told that it would be difficult to collect a "decent" offering!  The enemy is a LIAR!  We were blessed with a generous offering, and were able to bless Mision Cristiana Rehovoth in turn!

A Miracle!?
Well, maybe a small [is there such a thing!?] miracle.  We were invited by the Pastor of the church to come back!  We are even planning an overnight retreat for next year!  Praise God!  And we thought we were going to be "run out of town!"

Language Barrier?
Some of you know that this was a big concern with me.  While I am fully bilingual, I am not well versed in religious rhetoric.  In other words, my Spanish is not polished for a Bible lesson so I had to rely on the Spirit!  Isn't that wonderful!?  And a very sweet thing happened:  when I was "stuck" for a word, the women just helped me.  You should have seen their faces!  They were happy to help!  It was a tool that the Spirit used to develop a more relaxed atmosphere.

Breast Cancer Information
We were blessed to have a nurse present and she helped me explain how to do a self-exam, and why it is important for women to have mammograms.  Due to lack of time, we were not able to talk a lot about this, but we hope that the little we did discuss helped at least one woman there realize that she should get a mammogram.

My mother still reports that the women are still talking about the conference and look forward to our return!  God is truly AWESOME!

Puerto Rico
June, 2002
We were blessed with the opportunity of holding the conference in the same location, but this time the weather was more cooperative.  We did have a shaky start due to technical reasons, but we persevered and God met us!  Sonia, who directs our Praise and Worship, was magnificent!  We had a great time and were honored to have Maria Benitez testify and introduce the group to the Komen Foundation.  you may be interested to know that my Spanish improved--a tad!  I am now working on learning medical terms so I can dazzle them in 2003!

Please let us know if you would like to be on our mailing list for information about our next retreat in Puerto Rico; email me at Godsclipone@hotmail.com or write at 5826 Santana Drive, COS, CO 80918

PLEASE NOTE: E-mail us for information regarding group/special prayer sessions.
Please pray about whether you should join us for prayer and fasting.  You may join us any time during the day or night.  There is POWER in agreement!  It does not matter where you are, just pray:

"I will therefore that [you] pray every where, lifting up holy hands,
without wrath and doubting." (1 Timothy 2: 8 NIV)

Even though we want to minister to women from different Christian denominations, we realize that many of us practice different praying "styles."  While we do not want to offend your particular beliefs regarding prayer, we will obey God's commandments as they are outlined in our Christian Bible.  This includes interceding for others and praying in the Spirit.  If your particular denomination does not "believe" in these two forms, we ask that you still pray as your beliefs direct.  However, you should know that in order to promote focussed and effective prayer in a positive environment, we have specific guidelines for leaders during group meetings. [These guidelines are furnished when the need arises.]

Please include the following in your prayers, as the Holy Spirit guides you:

"In the same way, the Spirit helps us in our weakness.  We do not know what we ought to pray for, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us with groans that words cannot express.  And he who searches our hearts knows the mind of the Spirit, because the Spirit intercedes for the saints in accordance with God's will."
(Romans 8: 26, 27 NIV)

Remember that Jesus himself intercedes for us (Romans 8: 34).

1.  Always pray for God's will in the lives of these women who are trying to hear
God about what kind of treatment they should undertake.

2.  Pray for support from family and church.

3.  Pray for strength so that they can withstand everything they have to
          experience.

"[We] ought always to pray, and not to faint. . . ." (Luke 18: 1 KJV)

4.  Pray for God's grace and love to become completely manifested in them.

". . . for God resisteth the proud, and giveth grace to the humble."
                    (1 Peter 5: 5 KJV)

"Beloved, let us love one another: for love is of God; and every one that
loveth is born of God, and knoweth God" (1 John 4: 7 KJV).

5.  Pray that they will develop a spirit of thankfulness, especially when they don't
          feel like being thankful!

6.  Pray that they will be able to minister to those the Lord puts in their path.

7.  Pray that they will start the process of forgiveness.

"Bless them that curse you, and pray for them which despitefully use you."
                    (Luke 6: 28 KJV)

When we pray the Lord's prayer we ask God to "forgive our debts" because we will
[supposedly]
"forgive our debtors."  "For if ye forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you."  But what happens when we refuse to forgive:  "neither will your Father forgive your trespasses."  This powerful Word does not mince words--it is VERY clear that we MUST forgive! (Matthew 6: 12 - 15 KJV)

In Memory of . . .

Purpose:  The Holy Spirit just reminded me that we can not forget those women who have died from breast cancer.  The statistics that say that the vast majority of us know at least one person who has been affected by breast cancer is not exaggerating.  We have all been touched by this dreadful disease.

This section will be for YOU to present those loved ones you want the rest of us to meet.  You must obtain written permission from the next of kin for a name to appear on this page.  (E-Mail me and I will send you a sample permission release.)

In Christ,
Ada

I will start with the first two women I knew:

Gloria Gene Pearson  April 14, 1944 - June 6, 1999
Gloria was the daughter of one of the couples in the church I was attending in 1999, George and Velma Redd.  During the same time that I had my diagnosis and biopsy, I was ministering to her in hospice.  She changed my life during the short time we spent together because she actually ministered to me.  I did not tell her what I was going through, but the time I spent with her visiting and reading God's Word, and listening to her tales of when she sang with Dolly Parton, made me appreciate life.  She blessed me one day when she shared with me that she saw an angel over my shoulder as I was reading the Word to her.  Even though this strong woman was being eaten away by this disgusting disease, she was gracious and only spoke of God's great love of her and others.  Everyone prayed for her healing, but the Lord decided to take her.  She is now one of His precious singing angels!  Her parents love her; her family loves her; and, we all miss her so much!

Judy DeCleene
Judy went to celebrate with the Lord in February of 2000, while I was on my New York trip.  I did not realize that she was so close to death, because she "looked "OK when I said goodbye.  Unlike with Gloria, this time I did not see the physical ravages of this disease.  This made it more of a shock to me when I heard of her death; however, paradoxically, I was not surprised.  While on the plane coming home, I had a "strange" feeling.  I could not explain it, but when my husband said that our neighbor Cindy had come over, I knew what the news was.  Judy touched many people during and after her illness, and I appreciate that God blessed me with her friendship.
Judy was the wife of Tom DeCleene, and they have two sons.  Two of the last things I know about that she thanked God for was the opportunity to meet her future daughter in law and shop for her wedding dress; and, she was grateful that she had the ability to finish a baby Christening gown for the newest member of the family.  Even though she is no longer physically with us, she left us many memories and mementos that will always be with us.
If you have read the Welcome Page, you know that I am a breast cancer survivor.  Praise God!  I strongly believe that one reason I am still here is to help other women through this test of faith by showing them that when we place our lives in God's hands, obey His commandments, and live life according to His will, we CAN be healed for God's Glory!
This page is meant to encourage CHRISTIAN women.  Please submit your personal story so others will know that God works miracles TODAY!  Please try to keep your entries short (200-400 words).  We will publish as many testimonies as we can in our limited space  All entries are subject to editing and approval before we add to this page.
In Christ, Ada.

Maria's Testimony:  My Breast Cancer Experience
It was a day that would change my life when I first felt a lump in my breast.  My first thought was, "What if it is cancer?  What then?"
Immediately I prayed, "Lord, you know what this is; I commit this to you.  I know that you are in control."  Just then I felt the presence of the Holy Spirit ministering to me saying to have the lump checked out.  That day I made an appointment for a mammogram.  I felt the sense of urgency and knew something was wrong. When I went for my mammogram, the doctor informed me that it looked suspicious and that I should make an appointment with a surgeon.  So I did, through tears and fears.
It wasn't until I heard "Yes, it's cancer" that I realized that this was very serious.  I experienced the peace of God from then on.  Mark 4: 39 says, ""Peace, be still."  I kept that verse in my head and carried it with me wherever I went, and I experienced the grace of God ministering to me His peace and joy.
Even through the surgery for a partial masectomy and six months of chemotherapy, I felt the peace of God like never before.
You see, I trusted God to see me through and I gave Him the honor and glory through it all.  I found out the true meaning of God being the God of all comfort.
Along the way, He provided some special helpers: people who encouraged and reassured me.  I made it through with all the help my Father and God provided.  Today, three and half years later, I'm cancer-free.  My family and I bought our first home in the Pocono Mountains.
Is there life after cancer? I'm here to say, "YES, there is!"  My cancer experience has made my life better and sweeter.  I feel closer to God because of having breast cancer.  Today I can say my God is an awesome God.
Lord Bless you,
Maria Cicala

A Miracle!?
Well, maybe a small [is there such a thing!?] miracle.  We were invited by the Pastor of the church to come back!  We are even planning an overnight retreat for next year!  Praise God!  And we thought we were going to be "run out of town!"

                                                                      Love Offerings

To date, we have been using our personal funds and those of a few dedicated individuals in New York who have supported this ministry from the beginning.  As we minister to more and more women, and travel more we find that we have to ask you to "sow seeds" in our ministry!  Please know that we are very careful how and when we spend any money donated to us.  All donations are fully tax deductible.  If you are so led, please consider sending a love offering.

No amount is too small, or too large!

We also "sow seeds"
Because we have such generous supporters and we strongly believe in the importance of sowing seeds in other ministries, we have been able to bless all of the churches that have hosted our conferences with a small love offering.  We have also blessed a New York church with a banner and another with a shofar.  We hope to do even more in the future.
In addition to funds, we collaborate with a number of organizations to teach women how to do breast self exams and the importance of mammograms.  We are also training women how to become promotoras -- women who promote health.
In the last 8 years, we have taught approximately 1000 women about breast health and how to correctly do breast self exams in FREE classes.  We have also helped about 10 women pay for mammograms and/or diagnostic exams -- in CO and NY.   We will update our reports as soon as we can.
